How to use Sea Salt
Sea salt is more expensive than ordinary table salt. To save money use sea salt for finishing a dish, not in cooking. If I am making a stew or chili I don't want to use my expensive sea salt. All salt will dissolve in liquid and you will lose the crunch and flavor that you prize, so please use table salt, in this case the cheaper the better.
Sprinkle sea salt on food just before serving. When used as a finish to a dish you will be able to savor the subtle flavor that comes with a good sea salt.
To serve sea salt use a grinder. To preserve the texture of fancier salts, offer them in a saltcellar or a small bowl. Don't store your sea salt in a metal container or use a grinder that has metal parts. Sea salt, because it is moister than table salt, can corrode metal.
